Resistance to Micro-Cracks and Abrasion: Over time, regular TMT bars may develop micro-cracks or surface degradation due to handling, transportation, or environmental exposure. These small imperfections can become entry points for moisture and chemicals, accelerating the corrosion process. Epoxy-coated TMT bars are more resistant to surface wear and micro-cracking. The tough epoxy layer absorbs minor impacts and abrasions, preserving the steel beneath.
